The terms covering the Yumpit Scan app on iOS and Android — what you can do with it, what it does with your camera, and the App Store terms Apple requires us to include.
Yumpit LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Yumpit Scan app on devices you own or control, solely to access a Yumpit workspace you are authorised to use.
The app is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted here.
Do not copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the app; reverse engineer or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable where you live; or remove any proprietary notices.
Do not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense the app, or use it to build a competing product.
Your use is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service.
Yumpit Scan is not a standalone product. It requires an active Yumpit workspace and an account with permission to use it. If your access to the workspace ends, so does the usefulness of the app.
Some features depend on your workspace's plan. Where a feature is not included, the app tells you rather than failing silently.
The app asks for camera access so it can read QR codes and barcodes. Frames are processed on your device to decode the code; images are not uploaded or stored by us.
Counts you submit are sent to your workspace. When you are offline they are held on the device and sync when a connection returns — which is why closing the app during a stocktake does not lose your work.
We may deliver updates, including over-the-air updates that change the app without a new store download. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
We may stop supporting older versions of the app or of your device's operating system.
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Profile. Doing so ends your access immediately, and where you are the only member of a workspace it also schedules that workspace for deletion.
Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. Use the in-app option for that.
Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, this licence is between you and Yumpit only — not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, or claims under consumer protection or similar legislation. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending or resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo, or designated by the United States Government as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this licence and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce it against you.
Where you obtained the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply alongside this licence.
The app is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
The app helps you record and read stock information; it does not make operational decisions. Counts, orders and costs remain your responsibility to check.
Our liability in connection with the app is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
